Busy, busy day (Part 2)

Ok, so yesterday there was a peace protest/fundraiser to stop the genocide in Sudan. This was happening on the front lawn of our school. At least two dozen students were fasting for 24 hours to simulate life in refugee camps. I stopped by at around 1 am while most were sleeping and did a very stupid thing. Maybe it's mob mentality, maybe I'm just retarded, but for some stupid reason we drove past them while playing rap music at ear-bleeding levels. If anyone from the protest is reading this, I cannot apologize enough for this. You were doing something decent, and I just couldn't find something better to do on a Saturday night. I have to say that I wholeheartedly support your cause and I hope you collected a lot of money to help the people of Sudan.

Remember the holocaust, Rwanda, Combodia. NEVER AGAIN!

Busy, busy day (Part 1)

Yey, I actually did something this Saturday. If there are spelling or grammar errors in this post, I apologize, I'm writing this at 2 am after a very long day.

I woke up around 9:30 today (Saturday) and prepared for the tennis match against Mountain View High School. I got my uniform, shoes, extra shirt and socks, and some water. There was an important object missing, a tennis racket. The thing is, I lost my expensive racket and now have to borrow someone's every match we play. It's not that bad since we only have 2 matches left.
Freddy and I won our match fairly quickly, making some mistakes, but overall playing pretty good tennis. My parents and Ben showed up to watch me play and for some reason they walked in between the courts and the Mountain View guys yelled at them. I'm happy that they stopped by to support me, but I wish they wouldn't take pictures and/or videotape me.
After the match I called up Mike J and Mike P to play some street hockey. That was actually pretty fun and took up about 2 and a half hours. Alexei found us and after a short stay at the Vasona Park, we decided to get some more people and go ice skating. We called a lot of people but could only get Rachel and Lars to come with us. It was Alexei's first time ice skating, that's pretty sad for someone born and raised in Siberia. During the time there we hired two little kids to go around hitting Mike J. They did their job well.

I will summarize the rest of the day tomorrow, including the peace protest/fundraiser.

Sharks strike back

I won't take back what I said about the Sharks' defense in the previous post but I have to say that it's defenitely improved today. San Jose beat Nashville 3:0 in the second game of the playoffs to tie the series before two games in the Shark Tank. Vesa Toskala got a shut-out and Cheechoo, Smith, and Marleau scored a goal. Next game will be on Tuesday, which means I better get my homework done on Monday.

And the first game goes to....Nashville :(

I changed my mind about going to Dave & Busters. It's usually 21+ and if we did get in, food and drinks would be incredibly expensive. Instead we just went to Double D's in Los Gatos to watch the Sharks game. The atmosphere was amazing, people jumping up and screaming when the Sharks score and slamming the tables when Nashville scores. San Jose ended up losing 3 to 4, thanks to our nonexistant defense and mediocre goaltendeing.
Second game is tomorrow (Sunday) at 10am and hopefully we'll be able to snatch the away game.

Shitty week so far

Last three days have been terrible. I went over every single lecture for the AP Biology final, which I took 9 hours ago. On top of that, I spent at least 5 hours studying for that final the day before. And guess what? It's only part one of two! I think I did relatively well, and I'll bag the 4 extra credit points for showing up on time both days.

In other news, I found out one of my friends has Hepatitis B, and I think it's a chronic (very bad) infection. The thing is, he doesn't have health insurance because his parents don't get it at their job and they can't afford to pay for medical treatment themselves. I don't know what to do at the moment, but once he's in college, I'll drag him to the doctor.

AC Milan lost to Barcelona in the San Siro on Tuesday. Milan had many chances to score but Gilardino is completely useless. Too bad Inzaghi was sick, otherwise we could have capitalized on some of those chances. This is how we need to play next Wednesday:

Only good news is that the Sharks will be playing their first game of the playoffs tomorrow and hopefully I'll be at Dave & Busters in Milpitas to watch it.

Something funny

George Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld are flying on Air Force One.

The President looks at the Vice President, chuckles, and says, “You know, I could throw a $1,000 bill out the window right now and make somebody very happy.”

The Vice President shrugs and says, “Well, I could throw 10 $100 bills out the window and make 10 people very happy.”

Not to be outdone, the Secretary of Defense says, “Of course, then, I could throw 100 $10 bills out the window and make a hundred people very happy.”

The pilot rolls his eyes and says to his co-pilot, “Such arrogant asses back there. Hell, I could throw the three of them out the window and make 56 million people unbelievably happy.”

Thanks to Velnny

The Cheechoo Train keeps on rolling (thank you Boston!)

Jonathan Cheechoo scored another hat trick today. That's his fifth of the season and third against the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. The Sharks beat the ducks 6-3 today. This was an important game for various reasons.
First of all, the sharks secured 5th position in the west and will play Nashville Predators in the playoffs. A lucky break for the Sharks, since the predators' number one goalie Tomas Vokoun is injured and will not play in the post-season.
Secondly, this game was bad news for Jaromir Jagr. Prior to the game, Jagr was leading the league in both points and goals. Too bad for him, Cheechoo overtook the lead in goals today thanks to the hat trick. Also, Jagr is no longer the leader in points. Joe Thornton (Big Joe), who arrived from Boston halfway through the season, now leads the league with 125 points. Jagr has just 122.

Good day for the Sharks as they now have eight consecutive victories.
Only one game remains in the regular season, against the LA Kings.
If San Jose keeps playing like they are now, there are few teams that can stop the Cheechoo train.

Support Denmark! Support free speech!

This is my third post today, you can tell how bored I am.

I just finished watching the new episode of South Park and I have to say I am very disappointed. Comedy Central did not allow South Park to show an image of Muhammad.

Comedy Central are a bunch of hypocrites and pussies. They allowed episodes making fun of Christians, Jews, and Scientologists to air, but when it's Prophet Mohammad they won't stand up for free speech.

Freedom is ALWAYS more important than security. To see Comedy Central bowing down to terrorists is a real shame.

It's all about Benjamin

Say hello to my little brother.
Isn't he the cutest baby you've ever seen?

His name is Ben and he was born on October 21st, 4 days after my birthday. My parents only missed by a little bit.

It's a little depressing once you think about it. When Ben graduates high school I'll be 34 years old. Well, I hope he'll read this in the future and realize that he can ask his big brother for anything.

Nothing funnier than a drunk Russian

Last Friday a friend told me about a kegger on Saturday night. So I drive my ass up to the Santa Cruz Mountains and find this house. I show up there with two of my friends and we notice that everyone is like 2-3 years older than us. SHIT!

Next thing they tell us is that a cup is $5. SHIT! I have to drive home at midnight, so I'll end up paying $5 for like 3 beers, definitely not worth it. Eventually more people come and some conversations start up. My (Russian) friend starts up with his retarded stories as always. This time he's telling everyone how you can make alcohol out of a cactus. He explained the procedure and everything.

Then another friend of mine shows up with two half-full bottles of brandy and vodka. Alex (the Russian) wastes no time and chugs whatever's left of the vodka. I gotta say, the stereotype about Russians being able to hold their alcohol is completely false. This guy got so fucking drunk, he had two party fouls in a matter of minutes. First he spills beer on someone, accidentally or not. Then, he tries to punch someone and as a result beer spills everywhere and some ends up in my hair and ear. WTF?!

Soon after, we get hungry and Jack and I decide to make a fast food run. I wanted to drive since I drank the least. We get our food, drive back up the mountain, and the first thing we hear is this stoner-like voice...DUDE, YOU MISSED IT! YOUR FRIEND THREW UP!

That was the funniest thing I've heard all day. Alex spent the next hour sitting on the patio in the cold in his own vomit. It was probably the beer laughing but it was so hilarious at the moment.
I left before we had to decide who would drive him home.

The moral of this story is...know your limit! If you know you can't handle half a bottle of vodka, don't drink it. The end

Working hard

Ok, it's about 2:20 AM right now and I just finished my 11-page research paper. I think this is the longest piece of writing I have ever done. But finally, I'm finished. I submitted it onto turnitin.com and hopefully I'll get something higher than a C for all that hard work. I was basically done at around 11 PM, but I decided to add another paragraph. After I did that, I realized the topic sentences need a little tweaking and one paragraph needs to be completely removed. This little tweaking was going on until 2 in the morning. And at the last moment I realized I needed sources from at least two books, so I cited Darwin's Origin of the Species and Marx's Manifesto of the Communist Party. Maybe the teacher will think I actually read these books.

I have to wake up pretty early tomorrow to have breakfast with the AP Bio people so there isn't really any point in staying awake. Tomorrow, or actually today, is the last day before SPRING BREAK! I have never been so excited to do absolutely nothing.

For the rest of the night I'll try to find something productive to do...

I should bet on sports

Well, it turns out I predicted the exact score. The match ended 3:1 for Milan, but it was 1:1 until the 88th minute. A draw would have knocked Milan out.
I was following the score online during sixth period physics while we were watching a video about Johannes Kepler and Tycho Brahe. In between all this, I had to study for the Italian test I had to take at tutorial. Who says I can't multitask?

In the semi-final, Milan will play either Barcelona or Benfica. I'm hoping for Benfica, but Barcelona is clearly the stronger team. The other tie will feature Villareal vs. Arsenal or Juventus. Arsenal beat Juventus 2:0 in the first leg and hopefully those Juventus bastards won't come back.

First real post ever - FORZA MILAN!!!

All right! Now that I've got your attention, I'm gonna talk about soccer for a little bit.
In the quarter-finals of the Champion's League, Milan will play its second leg match against Lyon tomorrow. First leg was in France and ended with a very boring 0:0 draw. Milan did not score an away goal, which means 1:1, 2:2, 3:3, etc. would be enough for Lyon to advance.

My prediction for tomorrow's match is 3:1 for Milan. If they don't qualify, it's gonna be a really shitty day tomorrow. We'll see...

So this page will mainly be used for my regular bitching and moaning about shit that happens to me, politics, and sports.
You can read about me in my profile and if you need to contact me, my info is there too.
Bear with me as I try to figure out what the hell is going on.
